In March of 2019, my life took a new direction when I picked up a Nikon D5600 DSLR and embarked on a journey into photography. Armed with just a couple of kit lenses, I set out to capture the beauty of the world around me through my lens.

At first, the camera felt like a mystery to me. I struggled to understand its settings and capabilities. It wasn’t until I discovered Jared Polin’s YouTube channel that things started to click. His tutorials on basic camera settings were a game-changer for me, illuminating the path forward. Another wise suggestion from Jared was the idea of investing in good lenses.

My journey took another turn when I stumbled upon Serge Ramelli’s course on Lightroom and Photoshop. These tools opened up a world of possibilities, allowing me to enhance my photos and bring out their full potential.

I began to explore landscapes, macros, and astrophotography, each shot telling a unique story. As I traveled around Michigan, I found inspiration in every corner, capturing the essence of each place through my lens. My photography journey has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but through it all, my passion for photography has remained unwavering. Each photo I take is a piece of my soul, a reflection of the beauty I see in the world. And as I continue on this journey, I look forward to capturing more moments and sharing them with the world.
